About The Role 

As Senior Marketing Manager, you will be reporting to VP of Operations and will be responsible for the development and execution of  B2C and B2B marketing strategy. This includes, but is not limited to, the development, execution and analysis of B2C and B2B emails to support prospecting, pilots, registration/onboarding, lifecycle campaigns, behavior campaigns and renewals, ownership over our marketing website, conference preparation and strategy, as well as managing social channels. 

You will create effective and compelling content and copy to drive sales and engagement and will be responsible for engaging storytelling which inspires our target B2B and B2C audiences – parents, educators and potential partners. 

In this role you will partner and collaborate with creative, engineering, operations and sales to design, execute and analyze innovative, best-in-class marketing plans from end-to-end. If you have innovative ideas to increase brand awareness, sales, usage, and renewals, we would like to meet you! 

What You Will Do 

  • Design and implement all aspects of B2C and B2B marketing campaigns to support various stages of the sales funnel 
  • Own day-to-day execution and operations of all email marketing
  • Segment campaigns for appropriate audiences (B2C, B2B, teachers vs admins, etc.)
  • Determine behavior milestones/triggers for email campaigns (may vary for B2C vs B2B)
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Ensure marketing emails follow industry policies and best practices
  • Produce compelling marketing copy across a wide range of digital and print formats, including website, emails, social media, sales material, thought leadership pieces, case studies and blogs
  • Identify, develop and execute new ideas for ongoing content marketing strategy
  • Apply our style guide to maintain consistency across written marketing materials.
  • Ensure we are using a proactive and consistent tone of voice in all communications aligned with our brand guidelines and strategy.
  • Lead planning and preparation for conferences and events including pre-post event campaigns, coordination of marketing collateral, etc. 
  • Manage social media strategy and execution
  • Own our current marketing website and support the roll out of our new website

Your Skills and Experience 

  • 5+ years of proven work experience as a marketing manager
  • Experience at companies serving the early childhood education market a plus
  • Understanding of CRM systems; prior experience with HubSpot,, and Sendgrid preferred 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Ability to transform complex information into clear and concise copy, with the right tone of voice and personality
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Desire to roll up sleeves and execute while also seeing the broader vision of the channel
  • An ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Subject matter expert on the implementation of data-driven dynamic and personalized content within email.
  • Familiarity with analytical and database tools
  • Can comfortably and effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to clearly articulate and implement a focused plan
  • Understanding best practices or industry-related compliance laws
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field

We want to recruit the best talent for the next phase of company growth. MarcoPolo Learning is based in London and New York. We anticipate this role will be based in the US with the option to work in our New York office however we will also consider candidates based in the UK.
